The Marshall Tucker Band (album). The Marshall Tucker Band is the self-titled debut album by American rock band The Marshall Tucker Band. Released in April 1973, the album was recorded in 1973 in Macon, Georgia, at Capricorn Studios. The album's musical style incorporates elements of psychedelic, jam band, jazz, R&B, gospel and folk. Toy Caldwell drew heavily from bluegrass and country while writing songs for the band's debut.

Riding high from such late-'70s classics as "Carolina Dreams" and "Together Forever," the Marshall Tucker Band appeared to be running on full cylinders heading into 1980. With the success and return to their cowboy roots on 1979's Running Like the Wind, many thought the tradition would continue with their next record. That said, Tenth was almost a 90° turn for the band, favoring the slick, warm radio-friendly production and boogie rock à la the Doobie Brothers and other contemporaries.

The Marshall Tucker Band was formed in the early 1970’s. Their roots began in the town of Spartanburgh, South Carolina. The band’s first album entitled The Marshall Tucker Band was released in 1973. For the next ten years the band would release at least one new album ever year in what was considered their most prominent period. Even though the music industry went through many changes in the 1980’s, The Marshall Tucker Ban continued to tour and release new albums. Cattle Drive, was a song that always became a highlight of their live shows. The song was originally released on their album entitled Tenth. The album was released in 1980 and would serve as founding member Tommy Caldwell’s last record with the band before he was killed in an automobile accident. 9 – Last Of The Singing Cowboys. If you were alive in the year 1979, you would remember the year as a vast turning point in the genres of popular music

Tenth is the tenth album by The Marshall Tucker Band. Together Forever (The Marshall Tucker Band album). Together Forever was the Marshall Tucker Band's 7th studio album. It was produced by Stewart Levine, founder of CHISA records. This was the band's last album produced for Capricorn Records. The name of the album reflects the Platonic love of the members towards one another. The band's follow-up album, their eighth, would be a compilation album entitled Greatest Hits.
