There may be the general noise floor of a vinyl record, but there is almost no, or very minor crackle or pop. A VG+ record may be close to NM (one or two marks or scuffs preventing it from receiving a NM grade) or may just be a very clean copy all around with minor imperfections. A VG+ can have slight storage warping or dishing but these qualities will be mentioned in the item’s description. Once again, a VG+ record has very, VERY little to no surface noise.

As someone who grew up in the '60s I have inevitably listened to and bought many '60s hit compilations over the years
This is literally a who’s who of jazz featuring many big name artists. It was released on Columbia Records in 1962 and produced by Teo Macero. Musicians on this album include Dave Brubeck, Louis Armstrong, Gerry Mulligan, Mose Allison, Miles Davis, Andre Previn, Duke Ellington, and Lionel Hampton among others. Various sub genres are also represnted, but as a whole, it is a pretty swinging record. With the lineup above, you should expect this to be a good album and it is. The best songs, unfortunately, are the long ones, including the works by Davis and Mulligan. If you have been following this blog, you should know that I do not like posting long songs.
Ralph Ellis - who, with Ray Ennis was one of the two songwriters in the group - left early in the following year, and was succeeded by Terry Sylvester, who had previously played with the Escorts. Terry Sylvester left that year to join the Hollies, succeeding Graham Nash in the latter group, but the Swinging Blue Jeans soldiered on, right into the early 1970s. Ennis and Braid stayed on in the core of the band, amid myriad personnel changes, and kept them going for years after that.
