The 90124 album helps tie 'Wolf' and Rabin's early music in to the 'West Coast' Yes of the 1980's and early 1990's. This is also an interesting glimpse into the early work of legendary drummer Simon Phillips. Listen to 'Looking for a Lady-(Wolfman)'. It's obvious where Van Halen got the beat and riff for "Hot For Teacher" from '1984' (released in 1983)! The only thing I don't like about 'Wolf' is the sound quality. The drums are positively small. I am reminded of a quote from Rabins' guitar instructional. Trevor Rabin's "Wolf" is a gem! Anyone who liked Trevor's first two releases are sure to be captivated by this record. Highlights include "Open Ended", "Looking For A Lady", and also the guitar solo "Wolfman".
TREVOR RABIN is a Crossover Prog, Progressive Rock artist from South Africa. The recording and mixing of the album is very good. Rabin recorded very good lead and backing vocals, and his guitar playing is very good, having some very good guitar solos in some songs. So, this is a good quality album which could have been more interesting for some of Rabin& fans and some fans of the Pop Rock market.

Wolf (Trevor Rabin album). 1981 studio album by Trevor Rabin. Jacaranda is Rabin's first studio album of all new material since Can't Look Away, a gap of 23 years. Since his departure from the rock band Yes in 1995, Rabin has worked as a film composer in Los Angeles, California; the idea of producing a solo album came about in 2007 when Rabin began, without any direction or influence from a record company or concerned about demographics or genre, to write music that interested him and challenging to play, feeling "totally free".
