His Best is a greatest hits album by Chicago blues harmonica player Little Walter, released on June 17, 1997 by MCA and Chess Records as a part of The Chess 50th Anniversary Collection (see 1997 in music). Legendary blue harmonica player Little Walter was born Marion Walter Jacobs in Marksville, Louisiana and learned to play the guitar as a youngster, subsequently focusing more on his harmonica work when the bookings increased. Initially something of an acoustic harmonica player, his later switch to amplified harmonica was revolutionary; he first introduced the sound on Muddy Waters recordings, and even after leaving Muddys group, would invariably be brought back for recording purposes.
