GoodLike
I think this style of pressing was for US radio -some stations would play a whole album- with two decks side by side a jock could cue them up play the whole thing end to end without needing to stop and flip the album live on-air.
Yggdi
Strange thing, my copy has side 4 as the flip for side 1. So record one has side one and four, the other one has two and three. Normal of miss press anyone else has this?
Rayli
It's called auto couple. Ewalk's explantion is right on. Neat.
Braswyn
The reason for this is that on the old turntables you would stack the records on top of each other and they would drop onto the patter. When those two records were finished playing you would flip them over and play the other two. That way they would play sides one thru four consecutively. Hope that makes sense.
Tetaian
My copy is the same as yours. Definitly not a mispress. :-)
Rias
I believe all pressings are like this. Was common in the era to do that to make it easier for automatic changing turntables. Definitely not a miss press though.
