Anyone else have a copy that sounds like there are major pressing errors? I purchased 2 copies brand new at a local record shop, and both have a horrendous scratchy distortion thing going on on the right channel on quite a few tracks. Shame because this is one of Plaid's best albums ever in my opinion. Répondre Voir les 4 reponses Notifiez moi Helpful.

Album · 2016 · 12 Songs. If you’re looking for classic Warp-style IDM, dig no further. On their ninth LP, London's masters of the headphone-listen stay true to their roots, distilling club music down to its constituent parts with intricate programming and pristine sound. Opener Do Matter builds slowly into a frazzled cacophony of tones, and Dilatone is all dubbed-out, panning synths that ride on a squelching and burbling beat. Melifer" and Wen" feel effortlessly laidback as their bell-like guitars simply glisten

Plaid follow 2014's Reachy Prints with their twelfth (give or take a soundtrack or two) album The Digging Remedy on their home turf of Warp, a twelve track LP that stands as further proof (if any was needed) that Plaid are the top dogs when it comes to crystal clear sonic structures of captivating electronica. Across its duration, The Digging Remedy shows the duo are in no way shape or form close to slowing down, but are continuing to push the boundaries of their sound into new areas of experimentation that most others could only begin to dream of being able to produce

Plaid's album The Digging Remedy is due out via Warp on June 10th. It's been 19 years since Andy Turner and Ed Handley debuted on Warp Records as Plaid. The veteran IDM and electronica duo's last album, Reachy Prints, landed on the label in 2014. The Digging Remedy, their 11th LP together, is "broader in scope, more luxuriant, more gleaming with detail" than their previous efforts, Warp says  . Skepta announces new album, Ignorance Is Bliss. It's the grime artist's first album in three years.

IDM mainstays Plaid return to Warp Records with a new album in June. According to the label, The Digging Remedy is a return to the duo’s initial influence of Detroit techno, but broader in scope, more luxuriant, more gleaming with detail. The duo have also teamed up with t Benet Walsh who plays flute and guitar on the album. The Digging Remedy adds to an already packed discography, which includes 15 albums released over the past 25 years. The duo’s last was 2014’s Reachy Prints, an album that was accompanied by an interactive web app called Tether

On their 2016 full-length, The Digging Remedy, Plaid claim to have revisited their Detroit techno roots. While this might cause longtime fans to expect something similar to the duo's pre-Warp recordings, particularly the solo tracks recorded under pseudonyms including Atypic and Balil, the album isn't quite as danceable as the work they produced during the early '90s. In some ways, it's slightly darker and less playful than many Plaid albums, continuing with the cinematic flair of their previous decade's output

As someone on RA said: "this is such a grower". At first it felt underwhelming. And then, starting with "held" everything song became a gem. This album is so insanely consistent in quality all over and so very Plaid'ish. 5/5 at least!

I love this album... it's synths are reminiscent of Rest Proof clockwork, and are wonderfully etherial. Other tracks (CLOCKS, Baby Step Giant Step) are, dare I say,, more dance floor orientated... They would sound great in a Roman Flugel set!
