Joy is a five-piece indie rock band with roots in Philadelphia, and based in Los Angeles. They consist of members Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), Jackie Miclau (keyboards), and Michael Byrnes (bass). The band debuted in 2016 with their single "Astrovan", recorded in Los Angeles by Quinn, Cooper, and Byrnes

Joy has amassed over 10 million plays on this site after appearing on a few influential playlists. They also landed festival bookings at Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival, Made In America, SXSW, and Bonnaroo, as well as opening slots for The Head and the Heart, The Lone Bellow, Whitney, and The Revivalists in 2017. In 2018, they will tour with Neko Case as well as go on their own headlining tour supporting their self-titled debut album.

Formed by Philadelphia natives Matt Quinn and Sam Cooper, Mt. Joy are an affable indie folk outfit with a lightly scuffed, retro tone and a whole lot of earnest intention. Friends and musical collaborators since their high school days, several years of college and career detours parted the two friends until 2016 when they both found themselves living in Los Angeles. The reunion soon sparked a wealth of new material which they began recording with Detroit-born producer Caleb Nelson under the banner of Mt. Joy, in a nod to their Pennsylvanian roots.
