Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her" is a song written by Andy Partridge of the English rock band XTC, released on their 1984 album The Big Express. Composed on a Mellotron using only three fingers, it was the first song he wrote on a keyboard instrument. The lyrics were inspired by Erica Wexler, a fan who caused tensions with Partridge's then-wife. After his divorce, Partridge married Wexler in the 1990s. Japanese band Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her named themselves after the song.

Originally released in 1984, Andy Partridge describes this album as "A loco derailing itself in the rusty goods yard. Slashing electric guitars, sheets of steel bass and diesel oil drums. An iron opera, steam powered and brick encased. Discover more music, concerts, videos, and pictures with the largest catalogue online at Last.
The Big Express pulled out of the sidings in Swindon in the autumn of 1984 with no pretensions and no huge fanfare, but for me it will always be a landmark album. The political and social issues of the time are in the picture, but like many a classic Old Master, the artist has not focused on one issue at the expense of others. The fine background detail is often as fascinating as the main subject. This brilliant canvas is a broad sweep of issues, large and small, brought together as only XTC were capable of doing. A year earlier in 1983 XTC had released the pastorally triumphant Mummer, an album that still serves as the perfect foil to The Big Express, Venus to Mars in the Solar System of the XTC catalogue. Drums have always been so essential to the XTC sound and Pete Phipps had stepped in for Mummer and kept the stool for The Big Express, and what a performance he turned in.

The Big Express is an album that explodes out of your speakers, and maintains a certain boldness throughout. It's very loud (especially the drums), but has that signature distinctness that's an XTC trademark. No two XTC albums are similar (with the possible exception of White Music and Go 2), and it's so nice that they have an album for every mood you're in. The album starts off with Wake Up, which is a poppy, MTV-type mainstream track, as is All You Pretty Girls
