At Carnegie Hall is the second album by The Weavers. The concert was recorded live at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Christmas Eve 1955. At the time the concert was a comeback for the group following the inclusion of the group on the entertainment industry blacklist. The album peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Top 200. This album represents the first half of that landmark Carnegie Hall concert.

The Weavers celebrated their 15th anniversary by performing two concerts - May 2 and 3, 1963 - at Carnegie Hall, the site of their historic 1955 comeback concert, and invited back former members Pete Seeger and Erik Darling, as well as introducing new member Bernie Krause. The shows served to reaffirm the status of a group that had fostered the folk boom of the late '50s and early '60s, yet had been bypassed by it as others scored with their songs, notably Peter, Paul and Mary, who had taken the early Weavers song "If I Had a Hammer" into the Top Ten. The group reclaimed.

At the time the concert was a come-back for the group following the inclusion of the group on the entertainment industry blacklist. A recording of the concert's second half was also released as an album, entitled The Weavers on Tour (1970).

The legendary Carnegie Hall concert on Christmas Eve, 1955, when the Weavers re-united in the face of McCarthy-era persecution for this sold-out show. 20 songs, including Rock Island Line; Wimoweh; Darling Corey; Greensleeves, and more. Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, and the Kingston Trio were youngsters next to the Weavers, but without these acoustic elders, the aforementioned artists may have never found their folk voices. This album captures the spark that led to that detonation. Certainly the foursome was responsible for the leftist political bent associated with folk music to this day. The Weavers were one of the few musical entities blacklisted during the McCarthy hearings in 1952 after a witness named them as Communists, probably a result of members Lee Hays and Pete Seeger's labor-union activities.
