Procol Harum is the debut studio album by English rock band Procol Harum. It was released in September 1967 by record label Deram in the US, following their breakthrough and immensely popular single "A Whiter Shade of Pale". The track doesn't appear on the UK version of the album, but was included on the US issue. The UK version of the album was released in December 1967 by record label Regal Zonophone.

In 2018, the band was honoured by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when "A Whiter Shade of Pale" was inducted into the brand-new Singles category.

Procol Harum–the name, roughly translated from Latin, means beyond these things –recorded 10 albums over the next decade, but founders Brooker and Reid were the only continuous members. After the group finally broke up for good in 1977, Brooker took a year off and then undertook a solo career, playing on Eric Clapton’s Another Ticket and recording two LPs, No More Fear of Flying and Lead Me to the Water.
