Radio is the ninth album of the German a cappella group Wise Guys. It is built in the form of a radio broadcast: between each individual piece come jingles and other small tidbits, such as the news or sports. This stands as the first concept album of the Wise Guys. The CD ranked in the German album charts and stood for sixteen weeks in the top 100 of the charts. Like its predecessor Wo der Pfeffer wächst, the CD is purely a cappella with no instrumentation and, with the sole exception of the "Mad World" cover, is entirely self-composed numbers.

The Wise Guys were a German a capella band that was formed in 1990 in Cologne, Germany and split in 2017. Apart from Nils OlferT and Björn Sterzenbach, the members all attended the -Gymnasium in Cologne from 1981 to 1990. With their schoolmates Clemens Tewinkel and Christoph Tettinger, who also founded a brass band with them, they formed a rock band. At a school event, the band performed a single a cappella song.

In 1997 the Wise Guys turned professional. In the same year, the band released their third album "Alles im grünen Bereich" which signalled the beginning of their work with producer Uwe Baltrusch. Their following album was with EMI. With their Live-Album (2000), the band moved to Pavement Records. With the song and videoclip from "Jetzt ist Sommer" and the album "Ganz weit vorne", the band achieved wider recognition

The Wise Guys had started to gain commercial traction around this time. They moved to Pavement Records and released Live (2000), a concert showcase featuring the bulk of their best songs to date. All of this activity set the stage for Radio (2006), the most successful Wise Guys release to date. Fashioned in the manner of a radio broadcast, the concept album peaked at number three on the album chart and remained in the Top 100 for an impressive 15 weeks, affirming the remarkable popularity of the Wise Guys. A single, "Klinsi, Warum Hast Du das Getan?," was also issued in 2006. With the song and videoclip from "Jetzt ist Sommer" and the album "Ganz weit vorne", the band achieved wider recognition
