The story of Indios Bravos probably began when Piotr Banach first met and - most importantly - heard Gutek (Piotr Gutkowski). It was in Katowice's Spodek, somewhere around 1996 on some music bussiness party. At the time Banach was in Hey and Gutek was vocaly supporting Overmind. But the real beginning was the song "Drogi" which appeared two years later on "Part One".

In 1999, Banach & Indios Bravos released the album Part One – a solo album by Piotr Banach, then the leader and guitarist of the rock band Hey, who since the mid-1990s has been looking for new means of expression in the broadly understood electronic music. Initially it was supposed to be a studio project, realized in cooperation with the vocalist Piotr Gutek Gutkowski. The first announcement of the album was published in 1997 in the form of the song Drogi, and finally the album Part One had its premiere in May 1999
This song is by Indios Bravos and appears on the album Part One (1999). No more concealing of the truth that is hurting meI can't deny I'm losing the distance to this illusion'Cause they are trying to teach me lyingBut I am confident I must resistTheir intuitions are hidden believe meThey don't deserve your respect neither trustacy. I know ironic situations when you find out that everythigYou see around is dark 'cause maybeTheir sun is shining not for real.
In 1999 the first semi-official album Part One appeared. The album was released with great help from Kuba Wojewódzki's label, Palac Kultury. After that Banach went on a three-year vacation and Gutek began his side project Mustafarai. In 2002 Indios Bravos issued their official album Mental Revolution, which strengthened the band's position on the Polish reggae scene. The live band was extended by keyboardist Pawel Gawronski, guitarist Krzysztof Sak, bassist Ryszard Labul, keyboardist Przemek Filipkowski, and drummer Tomek Kubik
