Pacheco en la flauta. Después de grabar un álbum juntos, se generaron diferencias profesionales entre Pacheco y Palmieri y Pacheco decidió separarse y formar su propia charanga. Pacheco y Su Charanga rápidamente se convirtió en la orquesta más famosa del furor creado por la pachanga/charanga entre los años 1960 y 1964, lo que significó que la orquesta grabara cinco álbumes bajo el sello Alegre de Al Santiago.
