Wherever You Are (2005) finds Third Day responding to the torments of a troubled world with resolve and compassion. The album’s reoccurring theme of faith amidst tragedy makes this a less joyful and more subdued work than some of their previous efforts. On its own merits, though, Wherever You Are is a more-than-credible song collection, filled with pungent guitar lines and pummeling rhythms. Tracks like Tunnel, Carry My Cross and the majestic Cry Out to Jesus let Mac Powell apply his compelling vocal growl to themes of reverence and healing
Personal tragedies among the bandmembers' loved ones and a menacing year punctuated by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita sparked an emotional, lighter rock sound on Wherever You Are. The oversimplified message was that of God's concern for His children in all conditions. Mac Powell and crew musically stretched out their arms to the masses and offered a sanctuary from loss, despair, and hopelessness. It was a sincere gesture, though one that didn't necessarily have to fall so short of the band's potential

Third Day sets out to accomplish in the fifty two minutes of Wherever You Are what most tend to try to do in just one song. It's a big task, but a desperately needed one. In the midst of a time where natural disasters and war are plaguing many parts of our world, not to mention problems within our own households, having hope almost seems foolish. Wherever You Are is an EP by singer/songwriter David Mead, released on Eleven Thirty Records in 2005. Initially recorded for RCA in 2002, the album was withheld from release after David found himself without a label shortly after recording. Several songs were trimmed from the lineup when the tracklist for the EP was created, and several more songs remain unreleased. David contributed MP3s of many of the unreleased tracks to fansite mineandyours. com as a Christmas offering for his fans.
