The album's second single, "Big Picture", was released on 1 February 2017, reaching number 73 on the UK Singles Chart.

Truth Is A Beautiful Thing. Released June 9, 2017. Truth Is A Beautiful Thing Tracklist. 1. Rooting for You Lyrics. It is certified gold both in France and in the United Kingdom. Hannah Reid said about the album in an interview for Noisey: Lyrically, I think the first album was a lot younger. It was probably more about any kind of relationship that you have with one other person. Whereas, I think the lyrics on this album, they’re more about a personal experience I had with myself after being on the road for so long with the boys. In a way it’s kind of more intense.

I do not think you would take this pain You'd be on your knees and struggle under the weight Oh, the truth would be a beautiful thing Oh, the truth is a beautiful thing. Hold your heart, hold your hand Would be to me, the greatest thing To hold your heart, to hold your hand Would be to me, the bravest thing. Could you take my place and stand here? I do not think you would take this pain You'd be on your knees and struggle under the weight.

MPO pressing is well worth searching out. Hannah's voice gets the stage it deserves and it just sounds impressive all around!
Grillador
Yeah this has a lot of surface noise throughout. What a letdown after the immaculate quality of MoS If You Wait.
JoJoshura
I stuck with the CD, as others have mentioned here I tried both copies, US and EU and both had terrible surface noise.Wish they would repress this the same as the 45rpm version of If You Wait which is superb.
Funny duck
Filled with distortion on the highs, constant noise, clicks, pops / I have also purchased the UK deluxe edition which was terrible as well. I am pretty disappointed since I have read that the standard European/US editions sound massively terrible.I hope they would ever repress this beautiful gem of an album.
Dianantrius
I hate to tell you, but I have the 2 disc deluxe, and it's just as bad :( they screwed this one up pretty bad. Almost tempted to try out the US version!
ladushka
The pressing is bad, sorry. It's noisy, a lot of pops on the very first play after an initial cleaning. I'm only keeping it for "collection"'s sake, and to justify downloading the digital format. They should have released this in 45rpm, without all the bonus stuffm just like their first album. The band/music is great, the pressing is deeply disappointing.
Black_Hawk_Down
i enjoyed this album i think its better than the début release personally , but the sound quality is much better in fact the only way to go is in the digital format on this release , analogue is thin with harmonic distortion
Jieylau
really disappointed in how they handled this. Spent extra for airmail on marbled signed copy. yeah they "did me right" by getting me a signed cd. not really what i paid for. don't think i'll be getting another special edition from these guys in the future.
Damdyagab
Don't feed the sharks people, this sold for £30 from the original retailer to put these ridiculous prices into perspective.
Gandree
I ordered a signed marbled, and got an unsigned black...Distributor is sending me a signed CD for compensation...
Dynen
Same here, ordered the marbled one and only got black.
Broadraven
Woah! This really is a bad pressing, what a shame. Barely got through Side A. Pops and noise throughout Rooting For You and then a TERRIBLE constant clicking noise at the end of Big Picture. The chorus of Wild Eyed - my favourite track of this release - is filled with cracks and pops, makes this beautiful song almost unlistenable. Oh Woman Oh Man sounds "best", but still awful. Haven't had such a bad experience with a new release in quite some time now, this is really really disappointing.
Browelali
Can anyone comment on the quaity of the marble pressing? Given it's GZ media I'm not expecting much though....
Mejora
Mine sounds fine on a linn sondek but very very slight edge warp on one record but so slight as to be hardly seen so can live with it.Marble effect looks sickly like white paint sloshed on a black wall but seems very collectable. Not sure of limit maybe 1000 or 3000.Does anyone know ?
Ann
One of the worst sounding productions I know, especially on CD. Compressed to death, no dynamics, lots of hiss and distortion. Unlistenable to me. Poor songwriting as well. I absolutely loved their debut album but this one will be a shelf warmer. Have a listen to the demo version of "Trials" (which sounds great) und you will understand how the mastering destroyed the album.
Dainris
unsurprisingly not. I didn't chase though (as i would with smaller labels). I did hear that the MPO pressing was better but it will still be the same mix and master
Onnell
Hi there, did you get any feedback from the label?
Adrierdin
totally agree. Very compressed and the Deluxe pressing tracks poorly. ...constant pops and clicks just add insult to injury. I emailed MOS/Sony label but don't expect to get a reply. If you were the band why wouldn't care about this??
Shou
Made in France. 2LP + 2 CD available at Fnac !
Jugami
Sometimes the record sounds distorted, sometimes it sounds absolutely flat - "If You Wait" pressings were top notch, this sounds nice though but doesn't give justice to the minimal instrumentation and Hannah's highs.
Trex
buy the MPO pressing from France or USA. I had 2 other version and all sounded bad.MPO version sound Great!!!
Cyregaehus
I ordered the signed marbled version and received a black one. I've send them an e-mail and got response within the hour. The signed marbled version was send the same day so that was solved fast. What I do hate is that the marbled version does not look like the press photos at all.
Mavegelv
If you want to buy this on vinyl, make sure to get the MPO pressing (USA and France).GZ Vinyl pressings are - once again, I regret to add - of deplorable quality.
Kashicage
I bought the MPO pressing when i trad your comment on discogs after buying 2 other pressing with bad sound quality.MPO version sounds great!!
Nnulam
Looking at the codes etched into the runout... maybe mine isn't a GZ... it seems they might have had these pressed up more than one place.
Grokinos
I have the GZ pressing and it sounds divine. Maybe you got a bad one?
Hulore
I ordered the signed deluxe but got black, anyone else?
Gashakar
Same thing happened to me. Most frustrating is their customer service which only seems to just arbitrarily respond to emails, while ignoring others completely.
Ximathewi
The same happened to me, so dissapointed at the beginning, not I'm really pissed after messaging back and forward with Sandbag's AWFUL customer service from 2 weeks aprox. telling me that my (not anymore) marbled/signed vinyl was in their possesion and was going to be shipped by the end of the week after receiving the black vinyl they sent instead to just receive one last mail telling me that there is no more marbled/signed vinyl, and being a limited item blablabla... Wrote them back telling them a few truths, but what we all should do is contact London Grammar (Instagram, Facebook, Tweeter) to let them know this, they probably don't know what's going on. Yes, it's not their fault, but they must be aware that Sandbag is doing a crappy job regarding this matter.

What was their response? Offer to send you a replacement?
Bluecliff

Uscavel
The records of this release are not marbled. My copy included a download voucher.
Narim
Wouldn't it be better to each list the CD & LP, instead of together?
GoodLike
Anyone else having issues with this pressing? First track there's distortion on the high notes and loads of surface noise. Also sounds really compressed throughout. Vocals sound like she has a sore throat from the sibilance. There's no bass. Really wish I'd spent the extra £7 on the deluxe edition. Its actually unlistenable.
Cargahibe
Exactly the same problems with mine on track 1. Sound quality is excellent throughout the rest of the album, but track 1 is unlistenable. I wonder whether it is a pressing fault, or whether we've both been unlucky. Having said that I'm not experiencing any issues with the rest of the album sounding compressed, having surface noise or lacking in bass. I'm playing through a Pioneer PL50L Mk2 with a Dynavector 17D2 cartridge. I haven't had the opportunity to compare to the deluxe pressing just yet, but hopefully will get to do so over the next few weeks.
Tiainar
I don't have the squeal fault on my MOS deluxe version
Ddilonyne
movceo In the intro to the last track side 2, before she starts singing, there is a pressing fault on my copy. 'chip squeal' - sounds like a buzzing bee for 1/2 a second. Is it on yours? It's the kind of error that would be on the lacquers.
Goldendragon
What are you planning it on / set up? Which format? Thx
Ironfire
US version is pressed by MPO and it sounds great!
Wenaiand
So the Columbia USA pressing arrived today, and it was all going so well - extremely quiet pressing, until the very last track (the best track imo) and the dreaded 'chip squeal' (pressing fault sounds like a brief burst of high pitched buzzing bee). I'm fed up chasing a decent copy of this... :(
Maldarbaq
Deluxe is no better. It is a horrible pressing and tracks poorly!! Gutted :((
Ishnsius
Hmmm... I have the GZ deluxe version and I think it sounds great. Just listening to it a second time now on a different deck from last time and after several hours of listening to other records... and I really love the sound on this. Not getting the sibilance atall. Surface noise is low. Dynamics perhaps a bit flat. And I don't like too much bass... but it's the best sounding bit of vinyl I've had on my Dual 1219 (Ortofon blue, Dali RIAA, Audiolab 8000, Mission 753s) and my Thorens 316 (Goldring Electro High output MC, Denon something or other, Mission 751s) for a while. Maybe I got lucky? That said... the codes on the runout are slightly different to those on the European release and there is no mention anywhere of GZ pressing plant. Maybe mine's an unlisted variant?
Cordabor
jaffboy151This plant is single handedly killing the Vinyl revival! Now that might be an exaggeration. The "vinyl revival" is dependent on the big capacity of the GZ plant. Big capacity quantity-wise, that is.As far as the quality of their pressings is concerned, I unfortunately share your experience. Their pressings ever so often show to be of inferior quality and crackle and hiss. jaffboy151I have a well set up Ortofon 2m black and still get sibilance on many of my GZ media pressings..The problem is that the better your equipment is, the more it will reveal bad quality pressings.
Bundis
1st album of there's I have 'If You Wait' is the 45rpm edition pressed by MPO and sounds superb!when I opened up my marbled deluxe edition and saw the tell tale GZ media digital etching in the dead wax, I shed a small tear...Why press an album with such a beautiful voice at a crap whole plant like GZ, I have a well set up Ortofon 2m black and still get sibilance on many of my GZ media pressings..This plant is single handedly killing the Vinyl revival!
Rainshaper
I've ordered the USA pressing from my local shop, will let you know if it's better.I agree the mix is too compressed, but it's the same on the download, I thought the vinyl mastering might be better but it isn't.
BeatHoWin
Mine was also the Ministry of Sound UK Press. HMV allowed me to return it, and I paid the extra for the deluxe version. It still has a lot of surface noise, and the compression is still there, but it is better. The vocals don't distort anymore, and the instrumentation is clearer, it's not just vocals. Bass is still quiet, but it's not unlistenable.
Zorve
The compression is in the mix but the pressing is terrible for surface noise - i'm on my second copy which i had cleaned with a keith monk vacuum and the surface noise is just as bad. Deluxe version I believe is just this LP with and additional LP of extras, it's not 45rpm or the 11 tracks over 4 sides. My copy is the Ministry of sound UK press, black 180gsm.
romrom
Where was it pressed? I guess it was GZ Vinyl?
Vudojar
Had this issue with the ministry of sound version of If You wait.Baught the Colombia version without the issues.Listing to the ministry of sound version off truth is a beautiful thing right now but only hearing a slicht distorsion
Arith
Not sure if it's the photo but these look nothing like the press photos on the website...
Deeroman
I've received mine and it doesn't look like the pictures at all.
Dukinos
Anyone know how many of these were pressed on the "marbled" vinyl? They sold out pretty quick.
Ghile
Hello, I've ordered the signed and marbled vinyl but got unsigned black too. Did you get the correct marbled one eventually?
monotronik
same here, it was sold out like in one day so probably somewhere near 500 copies were made I suppose...
EXIBUZYW
Not sure but am on the lookout as well!words words
