Priests, Nothing Feels Natural. Contained chaos is a rock cliche, but it’s one of the first terms that comes to mind for Priests’ roaring first album, a project that is decisively punk yet ornately arranged with every surf-rock riff, drum roll, bass stab and shriek. The latter is usually coming from Katie Alice Greer, a frontwoman with a keen understanding of soul; Nothing Feels Natural sounds beautifully lived-in thanks to the guttural emotion behind each of her sneers. 24. Kehlani, SweetSexySavage. Sounds like the premise of a movie, and Residente is indeed an album and film project. But despite some light club-thumping outside of Look What You Made Me Do, the first taste from Swift’s sixth album, her dance-floor fury is mellowed by moments where Swift - and core producers Shellback, Jack Antonoff and Max Martin - plays it surprisingly cool.
There’s nothing like a strict set of constraints to force out the best ideas, and on his brilliantly titled release for NNA Tapes, Massachusetts’ Jake Meginsky (also known as Vapor Gourds) makes minimalist magic from just four simple elements: sine waves, square waves, white noise and an 808 kick drum. Israel-born, Brooklyn-based Ohal obsessively pieced the record together using various complicated, long-winded processes - a refreshing thought in an era of quick fixes - and the result is beguiling, neither straight pop nor bewilderingly avant-garde.

These were the best new romantic love songs of 2018, worth playing on-repeat. All the feels required. Miley Cyrus is back and taking a very different route from her 2017 album, Younger Now. The singer decided to close 2018 with the release of her new pop single, "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," co-written with Mark Ronson. While the overall theme explores heartbreak generally ("We got all night to fall in love, But just like that we fall apart"), the music video specifically alludes to the heartbreaking reality of gun violence in America. "This world can hurt you, It cuts you deep and leaves a scar. ) Watch her perform the song on SNL here

Worldwide, Thriller is still the best-selling album of all time with a whopping 47 million certified copies sold, six million ahead of Their Greatest Hits. We’ve compiled the top 25 best-selling albums worldwide, but it’s worth noting that there are many ways to count album sales. The RIAA counts sales of double albums like Billy Joel ’s Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II or Led Zeppelin ’s Physical Graffiti as two copies, essentially double-counting every sale. For our purposes we’ve ignored that. sales: 11 million In a decade defined by sweeping cultural paradigm shifts, The Beatles’ music helped the world’s youths make sense of the changing times around them.
Best-of lists such as this one are by nature subjective. But rock in the Eighties was like that - lively, varied, contentious and, to some degree, inconclusive. Culture Club made its second album with the same producer (Steve Levine) and at the same studio (Red Bus Studios, in London) it had used for its debut. Nothing Like the Sun is as much a vivid reflection of the mushrooming exploratory fervor among many of Sting's middle-aged pop peers, such as Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads and Paul Simon, as it is an expression of Sting's disgust with the state of pop. Ironically, the eleven original songs on the album were the product not of extensive musical field trips but of five months' concentrated writing in New York City in the winter and early spring of 1987.

Nothing but the Best is a 2008 compilation album by American singer Frank Sinatra. Other notable differences are "Strangers in the Night" has an extended fade out and the first two cymbal notes are cut from the beginning of the "Theme from New York, New York".
